I hated Bush as our President. But now that I've seen him on several interviews, I actually like him. I found him insightful, strong, witty, and reflective. He also admitted mistakes and regrets which I can admire. But what I liked most about him was that he would not trash our president despite all the trashing that had been done to him. So while I think he sucked as our president he is an awesome Post-President. Although I liked him on most interviews he gave, this 1 minute clip of him standing up to Bill O'Reilly is my absolute favorite! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI don't like either Mr Bush or Mr O'Reilly, but I must agree with you, Roc ... Mr Bush seems to be a much better Former President than he was a President. And that windbag O'Reilly needs to find a new job.

ReplyDeleteIt's easy to blame others and point the finger as this being the reason why things are they way they are. It's hard to keep your mouth shut and not make a comment when you've been slammed for the past couple of years. Agree with what you said.
ReplyDeleteI read Bush's book. It is really well thought out. It explains a lot of why things were done. In the end, I think I'd love to have a beer with Pres. Bush.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved the Bush family. I know that makes me a target for hatred all over, but I also know that most conservatives (like myself) don't bash Obama the way the other side gave it to Bush.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching that, too! I voted for Bush. I'll admit it! I think the real reason he didn't want to get into any Obama bashing, though, is because he probably spends most of his time huntin' and fishin' and doesn't know what Obama's up to in the White House. He's the "retired guy". Ha!

Kelly- That video was great. I saw the whole interview while sipping wine in my tub and I was tickled to death about it. In my opinion Bush had been retired long before now. LOL
Mamma- I wondered how much of Bush's tightlipped stance was due to what he had been through.
